White Pass and Yukon Route
White Pass and Yukon Route

This is a bit on the spendy side if you're traveling on a shoestring budget, but a lot of fun! The train goes up the historic White Pass from Skagway, Alaska, one of the few navigatable routes into the Yukon Territory and the Gold Rush.

All trains are wheelchair accessible. There are several different tour packages available. Be sure to look them all over and find the one that is right for you. Schedule and Rate Information is available at www4.alaskanet.com/whitepass/schedule.html

Each cruise ship visiting Skagway has reserved ample seating on the Summit Excursions. Purchase your ticket at the tour desk on board your ship and White Pass will provide dockside service.

Independant Passengers are recommended to make their reservations at least 30 days in advance. A 10% penalty for cancellation will be charged, but there is no charge for changes. You may place your reservations online at www4.alaskanet.com/whitepass/reserve.html

The Train Shoppe has a lot of nifty train-related gifts. There are over 40 products available which can be purchased online via email: [email protected], or by phone at: 1-800-343-7373.
